The
final countdown - it's not too late!
Thanks to you we
have reached over 16,500 signatures to protect
Chagos. But we still need your help in order to
make a Chagos no-take Marine Protected Area a
reality.
Were nearly there! There are only four days
before the British Foreign and Commonwealth
Office closes the Chagos consultation period
(12th February).
Help us reach our goal of 20,000 signatures -
ask friends and family to lend their support and
sign the petition.

Did you know?
- 50%
of the worlds coral reefs could be
gone by 2050
- 50
tonnes of open-ocean shark species are
caught accidentally every year by legal
fisheries in Chagos waters
- At
least 60 species listed in the
International Union for Conservation of
Natures Red List of Endangered
Species are found in the Chagos Islands.
- The
Chagos is an important nesting ground for
300-700 hawksbill turtles and 400-800
green turtles, both endangered species
- If
created, the Chagos Protected area would
be twice the size of the UK and would
double the current global marine
protection
